Avison Ensemble ‘In Celebration!’ concert, The Literary and Philosophical Society, Newcastle, 18 April 2015
Our children's ‘In Celebration!’ concert showcased some of the best young musical talent in the North East. Winners from this year's Avison Ensemble Young Musicians' Awards performed and were joined by the Whickham Viol Consort.

The concert included the presentation of the 2015 Young Musicians' Awards by the Chairman of The Literary and Philosophical Society who also presented the winners with a year's membership of the Lit and Phil's library. The engraved glass awards were created by the North East glass artist Dominic Fonde and are inscribed with music from the Avison workbooks. These are displayed in the winners' schools for a year. The Awards were founded in 2006 and were this year hosted by The Lit and Phil. www.litandphil.org.uk
