High Speed Snowspeeder Flyby

The guys at Echo station 3-T-6 were frequently freaked out by high speed low altitude passes of snowspeeders. The 3-T-6 was located on a cliff at the edge of a high ground plain, it was like a beacon, the speeder pilots just couldn't resist the opportunity. Dangerous, dangerous stuff!

Fun, though...

I did a flyby shot once before, it didn't feel right, it lacked the sense of speed and ended up being a "rejected" shot. I decided to try again with a different angle, lens and approach.

I figured, since the snowspeeder is angular like that, it must create one major draft and turbulence behind it when flying fast. That means a lot of snow up in the air along with the surface skimming speeder.

With this shot I bid farewell to Hoth for now. The spring has arrived and my inspiration for these images is thawing away with the snow outside as I write this. I will return to Hoth, of course, but before that it's going to be some visits to Tatooine and Endor...
