The police department of LaConner, Washington replaced two full-size police cars with three Le Cars.

I once saw a person get pulled over by a horse-mounted cop and I thought THAT was humiliating!!! :P

That would be a major humiliation!

Ya it didn't have a siren but it didn't need one since the hooves were so loud clop-clopping on that asphalt!

I don't know what's more strange to me; the fact that a police department procured Le Car's for it's fleet or the length of the copy on this advert. It's like a feature length article in itself.

My favorite Car- just like this... I scrapped away 'Le" loved it fast fun AND economical!

I have been looking for a photo of one of these for ages! So glad I finally found it! Thanks for sharing.

Saw this first hand. At the end of town, there are very sharp turns and this car could handle the curve at posted speeds or more thus catch any US car as it left town. Thought it was very smart.

Fascinating. That's the size of car that cops have been using in UK and Europe for a long time - obviously bigger, more powerful machines for highway patrol work, off-road, snow patrol etc, but it makes economic sense for a small car for "beat work", and call in a van (paddy wagon) for conveying unruly prisoners .
