Representatives of Auburn University, the College of Agriculture and the poultry industry celebrate a $500,000 gift from D&F Equipment Sales Inc. and the Fortenberry family to support the next phase of construction at Auburn’s Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center in North Auburn. Gathered at the Miller Center for the presentation are, from left, Alabama Poultry & Egg Association CEO Johnny Adams; Auburn Provost Bill Hardgrave; Department of Poultry Science Head Don Conner; Auburn Trustee Gaines Lanier; College of Agriculture Dean Paul Patterson; and, from the Fortenberry family and D&F, Dawn Knox, Lynn Fortenberry, Larry Fortenberry, Brad Fortenberry and Logan Knox. Larry Fortenberry founded D&F and co-owns the business with Dawn Knox and Lynn and Brad Fortenberry.
