High-tech environment for future trees at Toomer’s Corner

Auburn University has installed an underground structural system—known as Silva Cells—to prevent soil compaction and increase the likelihood of future tree survival at Toomer’s Corner. This project is the first in the state of Alabama to employ this technology. The renovations to Samford Park are expected to be completed by mid-August.
