Established in 1999, the UWO New Horizons Adult Band teaches those who are inspired to learn or re-learn how to play wind and percussion instruments. There are 160 people registered in five groups of beginners, intermediate and advanced players. The Western branch was the first of its kind in Canada and is modeled after similar programs in the United States. Sponsored by Western's Don Wright Faculty of Music, it remains one of the largest programs of its kind in North America.
