You can save someone's life. You need only one kidney. Give one of yours to someone who needs it. I gave one of mine away to my father almost ten years ago and I would do it again, if I could. Plus, I now have this kick ass scar.
According to the United Network for Organ Sharing, there are more than 68,770 people in the US waiting for a kidney transplant. Thousands of people who need a transplant die every year waiting for a kidney. Kidney transplants from living donors are more successful than transplants from cadavers.
If you're considering it and want to talk to a living donor, please feel free to contact me.
For my friend, John Baden, one of the 68,770.
