Astoria by Night
I thought I had my shot early, got home, had some Brazilian food, and watched Skins. While watching the show, the cinematography got me itching for a longer round of photos. I strapped on my gear, put in my headphones, and charged out the door, intending to go to Manhattan. Instead, my shoes took me right past the subway, and into my own neighborhood of Astoria. I walked all over, the equivalent of 5 subway stops.
Shooting at night is always a bit edgier, and I am generally worried as I venture past each block. However, our park is fantastic at night, and full of women walking dogs by themselves. When they feel safe, surely I can relax a bit. There are so many shots to get here, let alone around Astoria. I'm still waiting for the next rain, when I'll surely need to do this again!
I should mention that I'm back at the home office, where I have a lot more interaction with people, and seem to be in much better spirits. This can only help my photography.
