    when we wen there there was a family of four on one quad bike that went racing up and down the beach. they went up to the big old military base on the headland, it was too far and too cold for us to walk it.

    I like the angle too. It is a great shot. Did you use a special lens to take this? The perspective seems a little off - also there's the color in the sky going from dark to light. Don't get me wrong - I don't mean to overly critique it - I love the photo. There is just something about it that encourages me to study it further.

    One family one of those quads, that must have been a squeeze! What time of year did you go since it was so cold?

    1Sock: Thanks, it was just the D70 kit lens @ 18mm but I was almost lying on the sand when I took this which probably explains the weird perspective.
