Venus Transit

The last transit of Venus in front of the Sun happened in 2004, which is shown in the photograph here taken from Saida, Lebanon on June 8 of that year. The next one will happen next year (2012) on June 6 or June 5 (depending on where you're observing from). It will be visible in many places all over the world. Venus transits are rare events. After next year, it won't be until 2117 that another one will be visible! So prepare yourself for next year, it may be the last chance you have to see a Venus transit in your lifetime!

Camera: 35mm Film Camera
