Arrangement ...

Flower arrangement in the foreground and Hallgrimskirkja church in the background. It's a building that can be seen from almost any place in Reykjavik. In my opinion it's also one of the ugliest buildings here. Steinn Steinarr wrote a poem about the achitechture:

Hallgrímskirkja (líkan)

Húsameistari ríkisins

tók handfylli sína af leir

og horfði dulráðum augum

á reislur og kvarða:

51 x 19 + 18 / 102,

þá útkomu læt ég mig

raunar lítils varða.

Ef turninn er lóðréttur

hallast kórinn til hægri.

Mín hugmynd er sú,

að hver trappa sé annarri lægri.

Húsameistari ríkisins

tók handfylli sína af leir,

og Hallgrímur sálugi Pétursson

kom til hans og sagði:

Húsameistari ríkisins!

Ekki meir, ekki meir!

It's tricky to translate. It's mocking the mathematical look of the building and finally, Hallgrímur a priest and a poet after whom the church is named, returns from his grave to beg the architecht to stop.
