34374-013: Rural Electrification Network Expansion Project in Bhutan

Ram Bhadha Gurung owns a cafeteria in Taksha village, southern Bhutan. He has no light, nor refrigeration to store cold drinks and food for his customers. He believes that having electricity would make a huge difference in his business. The Rural Electrification Network Expansion Project intends to provide electricity to 8,000 new rural consumers like Ram Bhadha Gurung, as well as to hospitals, schools, and other public facilities.
