COVID-19: Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan Buddhist devotees light oil lamps on Vesak day during an island-wide curfew, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, 07 May 2020. Vesak, is the most sacred day for Buddhists commemorate the birth of Buddha, his attaining Enlightenment and Parinibbana. The Sri Lankan government has imposed an island-wide curfew until further notice in order to slow down the spread of the COVID 19 virus. Country has so far reported 797 cases and 09 deaths from COVID-19.
