Lady In Red

So today it was so snowey that I couldn’t get out and play with my camera outside... so I decided to set up the old water drops! I am very pleased with this form and colours. I love “red on blue” colour scheme as you may have noticed. However I do feel that I am not sure where I can go with these now, without some sort of electronic valve (all done manually).

Anyways, continuing my theme of naming pictures after songs... “Lady in Red”, because of the frilly red skirt.

Set up/strobist details:

Lighting: 2 Jessops 360AFD flashes on 1/16th power lighting up an 3mm acyrlic board which relfects in the water. Triggered by an infrared trigger flash fired manually via the shutter button.

Exif: 1/200 exposure in a darkish room, F/11, ISO 100. Shot with a Canon 60mm Macro lens.

Drops: water, blue food dye and rinse aid in the pan. Water, red food dye, bleach and rinse aid in the drops.
