those three words, #500 in explore, hahah

so wake up and smell the flowers today.

don't they reek of shit and bloody money?

there's not an ounce of love that's left in this world -

you're not alive anymore,

you're a possible sale.

    really great photo :)

I know everyone has already said it ws cute, but I'm gonna say it again, cause it is. I dont even mind the highlights, I think they work, i this case.

I always look to see a deeper meaning in your pictures Ashley.
There is a undercurrent of emotional extremes going through your work. Not unusual perhaps at fifteen. That yuo can actually portray these is a mark of great talent and maybe courage.
It's the lack of spaces here....
Colour used well... the overexposed highlight on your (?) face adds an ambiguity to this that I like.
Why there HAS to be a background at all is problrmatic.
The light used here is great and if you could keep that light on the paper there is the possibility of using various backgrounds for effect.
    Nice one. :)

I agree with stefkatcharme that the highlight in the girls face works well. Also the partially painted fingernail gives that touch of imperfectness wich works great in contrast to the lovely note. I also like the fact that the words are without spaces. It´s like they´re nervously spoken, they come in a stream...
The only thing i don´t agree with in this photo, is the distracting highlights far to the right. I left a note - feel free to delete it.
But that´s a detail - all in all a very nice and very creative shot. Well done.

I think the note and the chipped nail varnish are excellent and work very well together. The torn paper and chipped nail polish not to mention its colour, give a slightly rougher or tougher impression which contrasts nicely with the pink paper and the words themselves.

The highlights on the right hand side of the shot are a little distracting.
I just think that the left hand side is quite powerful enough not to need much of background at all and maybe a simpler picture would only increase the power of the shot.

The fingernail, note and the face half-hiding behind it are dead on. Technically the shot is a long way from "perfect" - the misfocusing, blown highlights and busy bokeh from the Powershot give the shot a rough and ready look, but this works with the subject matter - I don't think this shot would work as well with creamy smooth bokeh and perfect DSLR exposure.

As for any deeper meaning behind the shot, I'll have to leave that with you, being myself neither an artist nor a poet.
