2009 Nobel economics laureate Elinor Ostrom
The 2009 Nobel Prize in economics went to an IU Professor, Elinor Ostrom “for her analysis of economic governance, especially the commons." She is the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in economics.
She gave a press conference in our building this morning and I sat it and got to meet her briefly. Pretty cool, right?
She's pictured with IU President Michael McRobbie.
