The Shine of Angkor Wat :: HDR

Highest Position - Explore #53 | 13.05.2009 (Thank you all so much :)))

This is the only 2nd shot which i've processed from my Angkor Wat trip. Yesterday, I showed u a small exterior section of this majestic temple. Tonight, do allow me to bring u a fraction back into the interior of this amazing place. This is just one of many exits in this fortress & honestly it takes quite a bit of effort to walk around, up & down, in & out of the place. Maybe this temple shines forever! :))

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast

- Added 1 layer mask effect of a white layer to enhance the shine

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows) to tone down the harshness of stone

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (greens) to tone up the green bits of the wall

- Applied noise reduction on minor section of the pillars

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome
