Many of you thought i'm already on a holiday.. not quite yet.. i wish tho :)) just 2 more working days for me here. Getting excited! i guess i'm more anxious about gettin' away from work & sleeping in everyday than anything else :P Anyway, back to this monday blues! Here's an arty farty artistic bridge shot in Melbourne. Haven't seen many photos from this angle before so hope you enjoy this & happy monday! :D

The Webb Bridge at Yarra River, Melbourne

The sculptural Webb Bridge was the result of an art competition to transform a disused cargo link into an integrated artwork that could also function as a pedestrian and cyclist bridge. The old Webb Dock link and its new connection to the bank is now a unified sculptural form. It expresses the gestural flow of the river below and also references Koori fish traps, drums and baskets - the everyday tools used by Aboriginal people to harvest this once fertile land.

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) taken handheld using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the overall contrast

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation'(blues) to enhance part of the sky

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation'(yellows & greens) to adjust the tone of the water

- Applied spot healing to remove stained spots on the sky

- Appled noise reduction on the water

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome
