The Battle of the Bright Sun & the Dark Clouds :: HDR :: Vertorama

Highest Position - Explore #24 | 18.03.2009 (Thank u all very very much!)

Man! This has to be one of the crappiest title i've ever came up with in my photostream. I just can't think of one that fits the bill at this stage so let's live with it for now :) This is the last vertorama shot i've in my archives and i normally don't do many of them. I foresee the next one will most probably be months later or never :P so hope u all enjoy this! Good night & good day to those who are just starting the day! :)))

The Shot

3 set of standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma Lens 10-20mm lens (Total 9 shots)

- Tonemapped generated HDR using details enhancer option (batch processing)

- Manual blending of 3 HDR shots to create the vertorama effect

- Added 2 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast for the shore & sky

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (reds) to decrease the tone of the sand

- Added 1 layer mask effects of 'saturation' (blues) to adjust the tone of the sky

- Applied digital blending of another tonemapped hdr to correct artifacts from the water movement

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome
