Wet & Wild! :: HDR

Highest Position - Explore #4 | 12.02.2009 (Big huge thanks!)

This shot is especially dedicated to sweetie Lila who has fought through thick & thin, hard & mighty with many of my contacts to claim the #1 spot in several of my comments! I'm so proud of you GF!! :D Since u love sunset & i always see juicy droplets in your shots, u must love water too! I reckon this is a perfect combination! So let's get wet & wild baby!! Woohoo! :P

For those gals (& including guys) who are getting a bit green with jealousy, please don't despair. If you've been in the #1 spot before here, pls let me know what you like to see & i will dedicate a hdr version of it to you (only within my greatest means! :P).. plzzzz..... no request of me in my undies or any precious part of me. However overall full frontal nudity requests could be seriously taken in consideration LMAO! of coz NOT! Dont be silly willy! :P If you've not been #1 yet, what can i say, go try

HARDER next time LOL!

Its TGIF! I make this an earlier post today cos i'm rushing off to a meeting now.. brb to catch up! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead! Happy Valentines too!

The Rushing Waves at Maslin Beach

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shot (+2..0..-2 EV) with tripod using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

Standard 1 exposure shot (-2 EV) using Time Value of 3s (for capturing water movement)

Standard 1 exposure shot (-4 EV) using Time Value of 8s (for capturing water movement)

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

- Added 2 layer mask effect of 'curves' to increase the contrast for the sky & shore

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (yellows & reds) to slightly desaturate the sunset

- Blended 1 layer mask effect of 0 EV tonemapped shot to enhance the details of the rocks

- Blended 2 layer mask effect of - 2 & -4 EV shots to add to the effect of the rushing water

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome
