Southbank of the Yarra, Melbourne :: HDR

Highest Position - Explore #63 | 12.11.2008

A very common shot of the Yarra River among the Melbournians :) Its almost like a must to have a few shots if you have walked past that area LOL! Itchy hand sympton! That's it! :P

The treatment i've used on this hdr is not really my usual cup of tea as u know, i'm hardcore in terms of saturation and colours :P i love fruit juices btw.. maybe cos of the colours haha! love the rainbow flare but not everyone will like it tho.. just thought it adds a bit more vibrancy to the overall low tone. Have an enjoyable Thursday everyone!

The Shot

Standard 3 exposure shots (+2..0..-2 EV) taken handheld using Sigma DC HSM 10-20mm lens

- Tonemapped generated HDR using detail enhancer option

- Added 1 layer effect of 'curves' to increase the overall contrast

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (master) to decrease the overall saturation & lightness

- Added 1 layer mask effect of 'saturation' (blues & yellows) to maintain a slight tone to the sky & esp the sun

- Used 'unsharp mask' (as always) on the background layer

All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are (as always) welcome
