Chroicocephalus philadelphia (Bonaparte's Gull) - Juvenile

Juvenile of Bonaparte's Gull (Chroicocephalus philadelphia - formerly Larus philadelphia) although I saw no adults in the area. There were Mew Gulls (Larus canus) around, but this would not appear to belong to that species (note black bill, pinkish legs and dark tip to tail feathers). Seen along Dyea Inlet near Skagway, Alaska, USA. Photographed on 26 August 2009.
