Over the years this is my favorite subject (other than grandkids and flowers) from my favorite location. This is a three image pano.
The round building on the left is the Shedd Aquarium and the black building behind it is Willis Tower (Sears Tower), tallest building in the US.. Right behind the red building is Chase Tower; my daughter and I both worked there. Nearer the center is a building with a diamond shaped roof; I worked there for a while. The building with the blue lettering saying Prudential was the tallest building in the city when I was growing up. Behind it to the left is Trump Tower, 2nd tallest in the US - behind it to the right is Prudential 2, 6th tallest in Chicago. Next to that is the AON Center once called the Standard Oil Building, 5th tallest in the US.. The tallest of the black buildings to the right (with antennas) is the John Hancock building, 6th-tallest in the United States; tallest building constructed in the world in the 1960s; first building in the world outside of New York City to rise at least 1,000 feet. Furthest to the right is Lake Point Tower, at 70 stories it was once the world's tallest apartment building. It's all condo now.
