... this was taken along the Stanley Glacier hike in Kootenay national park near Banff, Canada, during my recent trip to the Canadian Rockies ... the waterfall was from an astonishing height tumbling down from a melting glacier ...


of course, it's still hard to get the sense of scale, but imagine yourself as one of those large rocks in the ground below, they are probably the size of a human. it was an immense valley and I think you'll see a few more pics of it in the coming days.


thanks so much folks! glad you liked the photos. technically speaking, the light wasn't great with that massive rock wall in a shadow and the sun blazing overhead...
