EGO Project at Burning Man 2012

    Newer Older

The EGO Project by Laura Kimpton, Mike Garlington and Jonny Hirschmugl.

Laura's team spent a year making plaster cast of sports trophies, religious iconography, cherubs, guns, skulls and other miscellaneous found objects, then spray painting them gold and forming them in the 20 feet tall letters E, G and O. The sculpture was burned on Saturday evening.

How bizzare, I had never heard of this until reading about it in a book called Pronoia and ever since I have seen images of it all over the web. Great shot.

Makes me think of a quote from Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy:

"If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now."
