Axolotl, the Aztec warrior (Ambystoma mexicanum)

Ever since I saw the Axolotl this creature keeps on intrigueing me. It's name is derived from the Aztec language and the Axolotl is neotenic, which means it never goes out of it's larval stage. It grows, but keeps the same features as a youngster. Now an endangered species, due to rise of population around Mexico city, that claim the same waters Axolotls live in.
