I decided to head out into London this afternoon with the aim of getting some Stranger shots. I usually do this with some friends but today I was on my own and remembered how much harder it is when you are on your own.
I had seen this green background on Berwick street and have wanted to use this background for quite some time. In fact, I know it has been used before. I had decided that I wanted someone with green eyes and maybe blond or ginger hair as I thought this would go well with background. In fact I did find someone with all of that and a green scarf. Fortunately she declined because otherwise I wouldn't have met Jordon.
I was about to call it a day not having had any strangers when I saw Jordon walking around with a girl. No prizes for guessing why I asked him, he was perfect. He kindly agreed to a portrait against the green background.
There was an alleyway opposite this backdrop which was letting some lovely late afternoon light and so I positioned him accordingly and proceeded to take a few shots. This was the final shot I took of him and was pleased with the outcome.
Jordon, is an actor and studied in Essex. Although he isn't a model, he has done some for his friends and it shows.
On a separate note, I know that 100 strangers project is about learning about the person as well and I still am terrible at that part of the project. I thought of so many things that I wanted to ask him afterwards (typical!!!).
Thanks Jordon for being a part of the project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the
