Plaid Banquette (and a shag carpet)

Newer Older

Caption reads: A small sunken room adjoining the living room in this house features banquette or built-in seating around the entire wall. A smart brown, red, and yellow plaid is used for upholstery. Toss pillows make the room a bright retreat for conversation group or for solitary reading. The fabric serves as the starting point for the color scheme, with neutral beige picked up for walls and a rich brown selected for the high-pile carpeting. Balance and unity are added by carrying the plaid fabric through to the windows in the living room. Furniture and accessories mix modern and traditional designs.

I can confirm, after moving things around last weekend, that I DO own this book. Now I can play along, but I'll leave the posting from it up to you...though there are a few colorful/mod ones I might like to put up...
