skies over england
June 16, 2011: Picnic on ancestral territory - Rowney Green, Worcestershire England
One reason I travelled to England was to connect with relatives I had never met before but had uncovered while doing research. My cousin was most gracious to whisk me around in her convertible to villages where our ancestors lived. The Worcestershire countryside is very different from the flat prairie of Western Canada where I was raised. The winding narrow hedged in roads which barely fit two vehicles are reminiscent of the old show "The Avengers". It wasn't long before I nicknamed ourselves Mr. Steed and Emma Peel.
