Clarvit Design Lecture Series: Eddie Opara Pentagram Partner Keynote
As part of the 2018 Clarvit Design Lecture Series, graphic designer, Eddie Opara, gave a keynote on Monday, April 9. Opara is a multi-faceted designer whose work encompasses strategy, design and technology. His projects have included the design of brand identity, publications, packaging, environments, exhibitions, interactive installations, websites, user interfaces and software, with many of his projects ranging across multiple media. Currently a Pentagram Partner, Opara is also an Art Director’s Club Gold Cube recipient, co-author of Color Works published by Rockport, and a senior critic at the Yale University School of Art. He has been featured in Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative and Ebony Magazine Power 100. Prior to the keynote held in the Juan Ramone Jimenez Room at Adele H. Stamp Student Union, Opara spoke to the seniors of the Studio Art’s Graphic Design Concentration here at the University of Maryland- College Park. Opara gave our students design advice as well as feedback on their work.
