Nano, photonic research gets boost from new 3-D visualization technology

    Using a new x-ray imaging technique, scientists were able to get a
    3-dimensional reconstruction of the Argonne National Laboratory logo with
    a nanometer resolution from the surface layer of a sample. Figure A shows
    an image produced with a scanning electron microscope (SEM), figure B
    shows the Argonne logo and figure C shows the image as 2-D coherent surface scattering imaging (CSSI) data.
