Having to restart the computer after an installation is IMHO a sign of a badly designed operating system. Restart dialog boxes are seldom good, but this one (from the Fujifilm Finepix installation CD) is the second worst I have seen. It claims "information" but it is just giving an order. I will have to restart the computer, my only choice is when. It even floats on top of all other windows making further work hard.
The worst restart "dialog" is the built in Windows function that automatically restarts after having installed updates, just giving you a countdown. You can restart now, or when the computer tells you. I once saw this pop up during a lecture. The lecturer wasted a minute trying to get rid of it or at least hide it underneath his powerpoint presentation, but finally realized that his computer had decided that his lecture would end in 3 minutes.
