Open House 2009
Open House is London's largest architectural showcase. This year we saw two places:

Linear House
A modern insertion into the old fabric of Highgate Village, this single storey house is cut into and integrated with its steeply sloping site. Although sleek in design and material, both internally and externally, the building takes its reference from the classical in its symmetry, proportion and drama. Sustainable features incorporated into design and fabric. RIBA Downland Sustainability Award Winner 2008.

Priory Yurt
Yurts are among the oldest nomadic structures. Their dome shape embodies an architectural archetype; their zero-footprint sustainability offers a creative solution to the contemporary housing crisis.
