Drop Scene – Aratira - Whanganui River

This artwork image was created as a prototype for the production of poster stamps. Although poster stamps were the size of postage stamps, they did not pay for postage. They were simply promotional images.

Each box holds several small artworks – hand-coloured black and white photos mounted on card – which have now been digitised.

Title: Originals used in production of poster stamps in 1916
