Clarence Leo Fender, Guitar Design File
Clarence Leo Fender, better known as Leo Fender, was a United States’ inventor who died on 21 March, 1991. He founded the Fender company, which is now a globally recognised brand responsible for iconic electric guitars; the Stratocaster, Telecaster and P-Bass.
The image above comes from a Design Certificate file. Although commonly called 'Design Certificates' they are the equivalent of Design case files. Every Design is assigned one number from the time of application, which becomes the file number. Each file contains the application, design and a certificate.
