Canisters which contained Zyklon B, a pesticide used for killing victims in the gas chambers.

 

Zyklon B was used before and during the Second World War for disinfection and pest extermination in ships, buildings, etc. In the Auschwitz concentration camp, it was initially used for sanitation and pest control, however, after the end of August 1941 things changed, Zyklon was used in the camp as an agent of mass murder.
