52/365: Is it in you?
I picked up this book at the college bookstore while getting my textbooks for the new quarter yesterday. I'm a personal growth junkie, so this is right up my alley, but some of it hits kinda close to home and I realize I have much more work to do until I get to the place I want to be. I've come so far on my journey, and just in the past few years I've learned alot about myself, my patterns, and my thinking. I've grown alot so much so that:
~I can leave a relationship that damages my self esteem.
~I can look at mistakes and imperfections and see potential, not failures.
~I have developed the self confidence to produce incredible dreams and actually follow them through.
~I have learned I'm actually a great partner, mother and friend.
~I have discovered that I'm fairly intelligent, funny, and wise.
~I make good decisions.
~I am learning self control and discipline.
~I am teaching my children about accepting themselves, their bodies, their minds and their decisions.
~I no longer trivialize my "hobbies". They make me who I am and give me the abilities to reach people and see the world through different perceptions.
~I don't seek approval, I seek wisdom and guidance.
So much good stuff and so far to go!
