Terme di Caracalla (Baths of Caracalla)

Romans typically used the baths around noon (the end of their work day, lucky dogs). They exercised in the gymnasium, then sat in the extremely hot laconicum, followed by a hot bath in the calidarium, then a bath in the tepidarium (guess what temperature it was), and finished up with a mighty cold plunge in the frigidarium.
