I love the trail up to Comet Falls. This particular day, the mist was so thick I could barely see the waterfall when we got to the top. I loved the myserious element of the fog, making every corner a magical veil. It's now one of my favorite trails, and my second-favorite waterfall (right behind Murhut in the Olympic Peninsula). It's challenging, and some of the prettiest scenery Washington has to offer.
My favorite part of this shot is the ghostly light on the tree that falls down the middle.
Taken with the Pentax MX on Fuji Velvia 50 slide film.
