Sun on snow at Edington
Sat on the open tail gate of my car painting this - it took longer and more difficult than I imagined, getting those tonal values/colours in the shade - took about 90 minutes. I kept warm for the first hour but the cold penetrated the layers towards the end and my hands were chilling fast - one mitten had gone astray so only wore one on the brush hand. Brrr!!
Temperature was around -3deg, or even less!

I used a toned ground as usual, a hot ocher, which can be seen showing through in some areas.
