PARIS - Les Tuileries
Pony rides in the Tuileries Gardens (Les Tuileries)
DAY 14 - WED, April 18, 2007
This was absolutely too precious for words. What kid doesn't love Pony rides?
The Tuileries is the "central park" of Paris. It runs parallel along the Seine, with the rue de Rivoli bordering the other side; and stretches from the Louvre all the way to Place de la Concorde, to the base of the Champs Elysées. We took our time and walked the entire length of the gardens, and made use of every café that we came across.
I really enjoyed walking through here, and could quite leisurely spend the whole day here. In fact, I highly recommend it after a tour of the Louvre - just to clear yor mind and take a break from the crowds :-)
There are several shady outdoor cafés scattered among the pretty gardens where you can sit down and enjoy une café while watching the tourists; or pull up a chair next to the pond, kick off your shoes and cool your toes; or rent one of the toy sailboats., or stroll leisurely over the to pony compond and watch the youngsters have fun with the pony and donkey rides...
