An old friend from my (ahem) formative years contacted me via Flickr a few weeks ago asking if I was the same guy he used to go clubbing with. (Archaos/Tunnel/Universe - Holy sh1t ! - hahaha)
Turns out I was and Alan (flickr ID - ItsFraz) and I got chatting again, which was great. Alan has recently gotten a bit more seriously into his photography and I can see from meeting him only once that he has really got the bug. He has a very keen eye for a shot and I look forward to seeing more of his work.
After a new lens purchase Alan was 'champing at the bit' (as he described it), to get out and shoot. I didnt fancy it last night, clagged in skies, freezing and miserable. But it didnt take too long to twist my arm.
I have very few shots of my own city so when he said 'city/night' shots I thought, what the hell. I've decided that in 2010, I wont rule anything out.
I hear a lot of people say that shooting traffic trails at Charing X is cliched (whatever the feck that actually means ?) and it may well be, but equally there is ALWAYS a new angle to be found. I'm not certain I have found a new angle here but its a new one for me and one i'll def be returning to for a better sky.
So heres a marker in the sand
