Gilling Church

St Agatha's Church: Set in the attractive village of Gilling West, thought to be Ingetlungum mentioned in Bede's history, Gilling church has developed from an old Saxon foundation which has an association with the martyred King Oswin. Having developed in three or four stages to its present unusual shape, St Agatha's reveals strong connections with succeeding generations of local families whose monuments are displayed in the church.
