Went back to Piodão this weekend. Piódão is considered one of the most beautiful and preserved villages in the country and has been classified as "Historical Village of Portugal."
Situated in the center of the country, belongs to the municipality of Arganil and is located in the slope of the Serra do Açor.
Its typical houses are made of schist and slate, with windows of painted blue wood. The surrounding nature is almost pristine, making possible to view various species of flora and fauna typical of this area.
