Sku - Ladakh Noodle
I got to taste this traditional Ladakhi dish while staying with a family in Thiksey Village. Was wandering in the village and looking for a guesthouse when I was invited to stay with the family who welcomed me without asking for anything. That's Ladakhi hospitality for you.
Sku is made from local wheat flour and water with a hearty vegetable broth, incredibly sweet peas from the family's fields, tomato and potato. All local vegetables harvested from the family's various fields. These organic produce taste amazingly sweet.
