As I mentioned before, about 5 hours ago the weather of Tekapo was a little bizarre, but at 3am the sky was brilliant for stars! Here is my first attempt for the galaxy, I have never done this before but I think I might try this kind few more next time even it's freezing to death!
FYI: So many people keep asking me how to do this shot, it's actually very simple. Come to Lake Tekapo in a nice fine weather at midnight without the disturbing Moon, then set up the tripod to scout a composition ( it's the most difficult thing ), try several diffierent combinations of ISO and exposure times until you satisfy the result! I also used a torch to light up the chruch a little bit! See EXIF by clicking properties of this shot for details.
No HDR or image blended is involved in this shot, it's a single shot recorded in RAW then saved as a JPEG by Nikon Capture NX2!
