I had a craving for a brownie, and then I remembered that I had a can of black beans in the cupboard and that I still hadn't tried the internet-famous black bean brownies. I used this recipe with a couple of the recommended modifications -- an extra Tbsp of cocoa and a half tsp each of baking powder and baking soda. I mixed the entire thing in my food processor, starting with the beans and eggs first for a minute or two, to make sure the beans were completely pureed.


I topped it with a simple powdered sugar / cocoa frosting, and it really is true that you would never guess there were beans in it. The edges are a little cake-y/dry for my liking, but everything from a centimeter in is the perfect texture!
