Where we go... where we are... where we dream... where we fly
Itajaí - SC
5 ò clock in the morning.
Thursday 30th, at 19:00 Guilherme, Curitiba, Chinês, Magal, Jaime and I hit the road to go to the coast in the State of Santa Catarina. A trip that was supposed to take 7 or 8 hours took 10 because we were jammed in traffic close to the shore cities.
When we arrived in Itajaí, the shy sun was about to rise. It was rainy and a bit cold. So much for summer :P
We passed by one of the many light houses of Itajaí, and I took this photo at 5 in the morning.
The house in Itajaí was actually just the head quarters. Itajaí is mostly a portuary city. We drove to the more beautiful beaches nearby. But I didn't get to lay in the sand nor take a jump in the sea because no one else was interested. There were 9 of us there (Perdiga, Armandio and Camila were at the HQ already when we arrived) and as you can guess and as I am used to already, all they wanted was to sleep, eat, drink and try to kiss as many people as they could. You'd think they are 15. And that I am 70 :P
This time around, I didn't get upset or anything. I was very very Zen. I knew what I had got myself into. That we'd have lunch at hours that I am used to having diner. That we'd eat something (dine) at times when I'd usually be deep asleep long ago. That I wouldn't have a chance to take many photos. That I'd better be happy with whatever I got. And I was. I set my mind to just relax and enjoy the time, so I too, like the others, slept a lot, ate a lot, drank less than I usually do :P except on sunday, I was starved and drank a bottle of wine by myself :P It seems I was hilarious, the guys said I should drink more like that... har har
But there were conflicts, of course. 9 people in one house there are different interests. A mind stuck in its teenages can offend people. Nonetheless, I was just watching the drama. I have bigger problems than selfish people just being themselves. BUT I had many ideas for photos that just didn't happen. I had a small chance sunday morning, most of them guys were going back home sunday morning. So I woke up early as well, waited 'till they were gone and went for a little stroll around the city. Soon I'll make a post on my blog so you can see more photos :)
P.s. My sister has just left the hospital. Thanks everyone for the good wishes on her health :)
