In a photo taken Oct. 1952, Sun Cleaners at 201 E. Washington Street (looking north on Fourth Avenue) occupies a structure originally built to house a meat market, the Milan Beef Co. The building was built in 1883 by butcher J. Fred Hoelzle.

Other tenants of that location have included Martin's Gems and Minerals, the Draggin Inn, Harry's Army Surplus, Metzger's, and The Arena.

On the left, the Allenel Hotel is at the corner of Huron and Fourth.
