Oxygen tank, stone money
After wandering around for a bit, we found ourselves in the village of Maaq, on the southern edge of Tomil Island. There was a men's meeting house, a stone money bank, and some rusty oxygen tanks here.
Many divers come to Yap for it's beautiful reefs, but we couldn't figure out why someone would leave their oxygen tanks just lying around in this spot.
Later on, we learned that the locals now use oxygen tanks as bells. When they need to call a village meeting, they just hit the tank: "Gonngggg!"
